Your advertising includes phone numbers ...
You allocate a different phone number to each media type, campaign, or individual advert, according to the level of detail you wish to collect. These phone numbers can be your existing contact numbers - or, if you prefer, we can provide you with new geographic or non-geographic (0800, 0845, 0870, 0871) numbers.
...the customer dials one of these phone numbers ...
When a customer dials one of these phone numbers, our technology automatically sends the call to your designated termination point: for example, your office, or outsourced call centre. This happens instantly; there are no delays or 'this call is being forwarded' messages. The customer just dials a phone number as usual, and you receive the call exactly as you usually receive a phone call.

The system automatically records data including the call, its time and duration, the caller's phone number, and the call source (media type, campaign, or individual advert). The system then does some clever processing and your reports are generated and sent to you.
